About

A large thermal spa on the shore of Lake Maggiore in Locarno, with indoor and outdoor pools of brine and thermal water. The sauna area has Aufguss sessions and direct access to the lake, and private spa suites can be hired.

Facilities

Saunas and steam

  • Finnish sauna
    The classic dry sauna, usually 80–100 °C.
  • Bio sauna
    A gentler sauna of about 50–60 °C with more humidity, also called sanarium.
  • Steam bath
    Around 45 °C with nearly 100 % humidity.
  • Aufguss (sauna ritual)
    A sauna master pours scented water on the hot stones and fans the heat through the room.

Cooling down

  • Direct access to a lake or river
    Step straight from the sauna into a lake or river to cool off.
  • Kneipp path

  • Outdoor pool (heated year round)
    An outdoor pool heated enough to use in winter too.

    Underwater jets and strong streams of water that massage your neck, back or feet.
  • Bubble loungers
    Loungers under the water surface with bubbles rising from below.
