The spa of a hotel on the slope above Locarno, open to outside guests. Herbal and Finnish saunas, steam bath, frigidarium, Kneipp path and an indoor-outdoor pool; swimsuit optional in the saunas. Half day CHF 50, full day CHF 85 with robe and towel.

  • Finnish sauna
    The classic dry sauna, usually 80–100 °C.
  • Bio sauna
    A gentler sauna of about 50–60 °C with more humidity, also called sanarium.
  • Steam bath
    Around 45 °C with nearly 100 % humidity.

Cooling down

  • Cold plunge (under 20 °C)
    A small pool of cold water, below 20 °C, to dip into after the heat.
  • Kneipp path
    Walking barefoot through cold and warm water or over pebbles, after the method of Sebastian Kneipp.
