About

A large sauna area at the Tägi pool complex in Wettingen, with Finnish and bio saunas, a steam bath and Aufguss sessions. You cool off by cold plunge, bucket shower or Kneipp path, tea and fruit are free, and there are women-only times.

Saunas and steam

  • Finnish sauna
    The classic dry sauna, usually 80–100 °C.
  • Bio sauna
    A gentler sauna of about 50–60 °C with more humidity, also called sanarium.
  • Steam bath
    Around 45 °C with nearly 100 % humidity.
  • Aufguss (sauna ritual)
    A sauna master pours scented water on the hot stones and fans the heat through the room.

Cooling down

  • Cold plunge (under 20 °C)
    A small pool of cold water, below 20 °C, to dip into after the heat.
  • Cold bucket shower or waterfall
    A gush of cold water from above, or a bucket you tip over yourself.
  • Rain and mood showers
    Warm showers with changing temperature, light, scent or rain patterns.
  • Kneipp path
    Walking barefoot through cold and warm water or over pebbles, after the method of Sebastian Kneipp.

Pools and baths

  • Indoor pool
    An indoor pool to relax or swim in.
  • Outdoor pool (seasonal)
    An outdoor pool open in the warmer months only.
