About

A large public indoor pool in Unterseen, next to Interlaken, with a sauna area looking out to the mountains. It has Finnish, bio and infrared saunas, a cold plunge and bucket shower, and women-only sauna sessions twice a week.

Saunas and steam

  • Finnish sauna
    The classic dry sauna, usually 80–100 °C.
  • Bio sauna
    A gentler sauna of about 50–60 °C with more humidity, also called sanarium.
  • Steam bath
    Around 45 °C with nearly 100 % humidity.
  • Infrared sauna
    Infrared heaters warm the body directly while the air stays cooler.

Cooling down

  • Cold plunge (under 20 °C)
    A small pool of cold water, below 20 °C, to dip into after the heat.
