About

A large indoor pool and wellness centre at the Wellness Hostel 3000 in the mountain resort of Laax, with a pool for swimming lengths and slides. The textile-free sauna area has Finnish and bio saunas, a steam bath, a hot and cold contrast bath and mountain views.

Facilities

Saunas and steam

  • Finnish sauna
    The classic dry sauna, usually 80–100 °C.
  • Bio sauna
    A gentler sauna of about 50–60 °C with more humidity, also called sanarium.
  • Steam bath
    Around 45 °C with nearly 100 % humidity.

Cooling down

  • Cold plunge (under 20 °C)
    A small pool of cold water, below 20 °C, to dip into after the heat.
  • Rain and mood showers
    Warm showers with changing temperature, light, scent or rain patterns.
  • Kneipp path
    Walking barefoot through cold and warm water or over pebbles, after the method of Sebastian Kneipp.

Pools and baths

  • Hot pool (38 °C and more)
    A pool or tub of very warm water, 38 °C or more, often outdoors and sometimes heated with wood.

    Two pools side by side, one hot and one cold, to switch between.
