The wellness area of the Sonnmatt health hotel on the hillside above Lucerne, with a 32 °C pool, a Finnish sauna, a sanarium, an aroma steam bath and a cold plunge. The sauna area is mixed and needs booking; visitors are asked to contact the reception.

Saunas and steam

    The classic dry sauna, usually 80–100 °C.
  • Bio sauna
    A gentler sauna of about 50–60 °C with more humidity, also called sanarium.
  • Steam bath
    Around 45 °C with nearly 100 % humidity.

Cooling down

  • Cold plunge (under 20 °C)
    A small pool of cold water, below 20 °C, to dip into after the heat.
  • Rain and mood showers
    Warm showers with changing temperature, light, scent or rain patterns.
