A brine bath and hotel by the Asangteich pond in Gmünd, in the Waldviertel, open every day of the year. The nude sauna area has seven saunas including a salt sauna, a steam grotto, a hammam, a snow shower and a brine lagoon that leads outdoors; tickets cover bath and sauna.

Saunas and steam

  • Finnish sauna
    The classic dry sauna, usually 80–100 °C.
  • Bio sauna
    A gentler sauna of about 50–60 °C with more humidity, also called sanarium.
  • Steam bath
    Around 45 °C with nearly 100 % humidity.
  • Infrared sauna
