The bath house of the Nature Resort in Oetz at the entrance of the Ötztal. Visitors who register ahead get four saunas, a steam bath, an infrared lounge, a 26 m infinity pool and a natural pond for cold dips; adults only from 18:00.

Saunas and steam

  • Finnish sauna
    The classic dry sauna, usually 80–100 °C.
  • Bio sauna
    A gentler sauna of about 50–60 °C with more humidity, also called sanarium.
  • Steam bath
    Around 45 °C with nearly 100 % humidity.
  • Infrared sauna
    Infrared heaters warm the body directly while the air stays cooler.
  • Aufguss (sauna ritual)
    A sauna master pours scented water on the hot stones and fans the heat through the room.

Cooling down

  • Direct access to a lake or river
    Step straight from the sauna into a lake or river to cool off.
  • Ice plunge (12 °C and colder)
    A small pool of very cold water, 12 °C or colder, for a short dip after the heat.
