About

The spa of a hotel in Zermatt, open to outside guests who book ahead. It has Finnish, bio and infrared saunas, a hammam and steam bath, a whirlpool and a Kneipp path, with views of the surrounding mountains.

    The classic dry sauna, usually 80–100 °C.

    A gentler sauna of about 50–60 °C with more humidity, also called sanarium.

    Around 45 °C with nearly 100 % humidity.

    Infrared heaters warm the body directly while the air stays cooler.
  • Hammam (Turkish or Moroccan bath ritual)
    The traditional ritual in stages: warm rooms or a heated marble slab, a body scrub with a kessa glove and a soap-foam wash, then rest.

  • Kneipp path

    A garden, terrace or lawn with loungers, to cool down and rest in the fresh air.
  • Foot baths
    Basins of warm, or hot and cold, water for your feet, often used between sauna rounds.
