About

A 3,500 m² spa by the Wolfgangsee open to everyone daily, with Finnish, herbal, brine and pine saunas, a steam bath, an ice grotto and indoor and outdoor pools. The sauna area is textile-free and infusions run all afternoon; tickets for 4 hours, a day or the evening.

Saunas and steam

  • Finnish sauna
    The classic dry sauna, usually 80–100 °C.
  • Bio sauna
    A gentler sauna of about 50–60 °C with more humidity, also called sanarium.
  • Steam bath
    Around 45 °C with nearly 100 % humidity.
  • Infrared sauna
    Infrared heaters warm the body directly while the air stays cooler.
  • Salt or mineral sauna
    A sauna with salt or mineral walls or salty air to breathe.
  • Aufguss (sauna ritual)
    A sauna master pours scented water on the hot stones and fans the heat through the room.

Cooling down

  • Cold plunge (under 20 °C)
    A small pool of cold water, below 20 °C, to dip into after the heat.
  • Snow room
    A cold room with snow or ice, below freezing, for a quick cool-down.

Pools and baths

  • Whirlpool or jacuzzi
    A warm pool with jets of air and water bubbling around you, usually for several people.
