About

A big thermal bath at the end of the U1 in Oberlaa with thermal, brine and leisure pools. Its sauna world has separate women's, men's and mixed areas, a sauna garden, Kneipp walk and hourly guided infusions; the sauna costs EUR 15 extra.

Saunas and steam

  • Finnish sauna
    The classic dry sauna, usually 80–100 °C.
  • Bio sauna
    A gentler sauna of about 50–60 °C with more humidity, also called sanarium.
  • Steam bath
    Around 45 °C with nearly 100 % humidity.
  • Infrared sauna
    Infrared heaters warm the body directly while the air stays cooler.
  • Aufguss (sauna ritual)
    A sauna master pours scented water on the hot stones and fans the heat through the room.

Cooling down

  • Cold plunge (under 20 °C)
    A small pool of cold water, below 20 °C, to dip into after the heat.
  • Kneipp path
    Walking barefoot through cold and warm water or over pebbles, after the method of Sebastian Kneipp.

    A warm pool with jets of air and water bubbling around you, usually for several people.

    An indoor pool to relax or swim in.
  • Water slides
    Slides that end in a pool.

  • Indoor rest area
    A quiet room with loungers to rest between sauna rounds.
  • Outdoor rest area (garden or terrace)
    A garden, terrace or lawn with loungers, to cool down and rest in the fresh air.
