An adults-oriented sauna centre run by the municipality of Mariapfarr, with a hot outdoor sauna, a herbal sauna, a crystal sauna, steam bath, whirlpool and a Kneipp walk. Nude throughout; infusions in winter, open from 15:00 except Sundays.

Saunas and steam

  • Finnish sauna
    The classic dry sauna, usually 80–100 °C.
  • Bio sauna
    A gentler sauna of about 50–60 °C with more humidity, also called sanarium.
  • Steam bath
    Around 45 °C with nearly 100 % humidity.
  • Infrared sauna
    Infrared heaters warm the body directly while the air stays cooler.
  • Outdoor sauna
    A sauna in its own cabin or with a door straight to the open air, so you step outside to cool off.
  • Aufguss (sauna ritual)
    A sauna master pours scented water on the hot stones and fans the heat through the room.
