About

A large wellness hotel on the Haldensee in the Tannheimer Tal whose 5,500 m² castle-themed spa takes day guests: six saunas including a steam bath, bio and salt saunas, an indoor pool and whirlpools. Guided infusions, bathrobe and towels are included; saunas from age 16.

Saunas and steam

  • Finnish sauna
    The classic dry sauna, usually 80–100 °C.
  • Bio sauna
    A gentler sauna of about 50–60 °C with more humidity, also called sanarium.
  • Steam bath
    Around 45 °C with nearly 100 % humidity.
  • Infrared sauna
    Infrared heaters warm the body directly while the air stays cooler.
  • Salt or mineral sauna
    A sauna with salt or mineral walls or salty air to breathe.
  • Aufguss (sauna ritual)
    A sauna master pours scented water on the hot stones and fans the heat through the room.

Cooling down

  • Rain and mood showers
    Warm showers with changing temperature, light, scent or rain patterns.
  • Ice fountain
    Crushed ice to rub on your skin after the sauna.

Pools and baths

  • Whirlpool or jacuzzi
    A warm pool with jets of air and water bubbling around you, usually for several people.
