About

A stand-alone municipal sauna in Innsbruck's centre. It has two Finnish saunas, a eucalyptus sauna, a steam room, an open-air courtyard with an ice fountain, plunge and Kneipp pools and a rest room with waterbeds; Wednesday is women only.

Facilities

Saunas and steam

  • Finnish sauna
    The classic dry sauna, usually 80–100 °C.
  • Bio sauna
    A gentler sauna of about 50–60 °C with more humidity, also called sanarium.
  • Steam bath
    Around 45 °C with nearly 100 % humidity.
  • Infrared sauna
    Infrared heaters warm the body directly while the air stays cooler.

Cooling down

  • Cold plunge (under 20 °C)
    A small pool of cold water, below 20 °C, to dip into after the heat.
  • Rain and mood showers
    Warm showers with changing temperature, light, scent or rain patterns.
  • Ice fountain
    Crushed ice to rub on your skin after the sauna.
  • Kneipp path
    Walking barefoot through cold and warm water or over pebbles, after the method of Sebastian Kneipp.

Pools and baths

  • Indoor pool
    An indoor pool to relax or swim in.

Relaxing

  • Indoor rest area
    A quiet room with loungers to rest between sauna rounds.
  • Outdoor rest area (garden or terrace)
    A garden, terrace or lawn with loungers, to cool down and rest in the fresh air.

    Massages you can book, usually at extra cost.
  • Solarium
    Sunbeds for tanning.
